Terms & Conditions

1. Minimum Rental Period
The minimum rental period is 1 day (24 hours). Delays of more than one hour will be charged one-day extra rental..
2. Cancellation policy
The customer can cancel the reservation up to 48 hours before the pick-up however the 20% advance payment is non-refundable. If you cancel between 48h and 24h before the pick-up time, the first three days of the reservation will be charged. If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, the entire reservation will be charged.
3. Driving License
It is mandatory to present a valid driving license in Portugal.
4. Minimum Age
21 years old, with a minimum driving experience of 2 years. Between 18 and 21 years old, you can rent a car subject to the obligation to leave a deposit.
5. Fuel
Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel that they had on the delivery date. The missing fuel will be charged to the customer plus a penalty.
6. Prices include
VAT, mandatory liability insurance, maintenance, 24-hour roadside assistance, SCDW insurance and additional driver.
7. Prices do not include
  • Parking charges, fines, fuel, damage the clutch, minimum franchise 200,00€;
  • Lost documents (250€) and keys (300€);
The customer will always be responsible for all damages caused to third parties or to the rented vehicle whenever it:
  • Be driven by a person who is not legally licensed or authorized by Standriba Rent a – Suffers damage caused intentionally by the customer, negligence and/or misuse;
  • Be driven by a person under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or suffering from insanity.;
  • Be used in sports events, rallies, challenges, contests, etc.;
  • You have an accident, and it is not reported to Standriba Rent a Car as soon as possible;
  • Suffer acts of vandalism such as broken glass, blown tires or damaged rims.;
The lack of communication or late communication constitutes for the customer the obligation to indemnify Standriba Rent a Car for all expenses resulting therefrom. The customer is responsible for all road code violations committed.
8. Warnings
In case of an accident, call the authorities (112).
Call an ambulance if there are any injuries.
Contact Standriba Rent a Car (if you do not, you are responsible for all damage to the vehicle)
Obtain from the other drivers involved:
  • Name, address and telephone number;
  • Driver’s license number, date and place of issue;
  • Make, model and registration of other vehicles;
  • Insurance policy and insurance company
9. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, the consumer may resort to an Alternative Dispute Resolution Entity:
